There has been speculation for a long time as to who will contest from these traditional seats of the Gandhi family.
Congress released its eighth list for the Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday night. The party has announced the names of 14 candidates, including four from UP. Congress has given tickets to Dolly Sharma from Ghaziabad, Nakul Dubey from Sitapur, Virendra Chaudhary from Maharajganj and Shivram Valmiki from Bulandshahr.
By not giving ticket to Amanmani Tripathi, MLA from Nautanwa seat of Maharajganj, he has played a gamble on his old worker.
